The main purpose of the
SUBUD organization is to serve members now
spread throughout 70 countries, and to facilitate
the development of SUBUD, and like any other association we need an
outer form to express inner substance. The World Subud
Association(WSA) represents the international Subud community, and
was legally established in the USA following the World Congress in
1989.Its constitution expresses three kinds of aims:
a) Spiritual or Kejiwaan support - The international organisation enables helpers to travel to other countries and to nuture groups. To
facilitate a deeper receiving and woring of the latihan, especially in countries experiencing periods of difficulty, isolation or growth.
b) Development of Subud and care of its members' needs i.e. the internal needs of Subud
-
obligations to the future:the huge task of sorting
indexing,microfilming Bapak's talks,plus collection and coping of
photos,is being undertaken in Cilandak,with
a team headed by a professional archivist,to preserve for ourselves and future generation.
